Dubai’s a city filled with amazing landmarks and must-see destinations, and it’s about to get some more. Here are some of the most exciting real estate developments that will be making their debut soon in the city.

1. Bluewaters Island

The soon to be completed (Q3 2018) Meraas project (from the developers that gave us Kite Beach and Citywalk), Bluewaters is a man-made island located just off of JBR. It’s claim to fame will be the world’s largest observation wheel, Ain Dubai (standing 210m tall). Contemporary, cool and family friendly, the mixed-use island will have everything from luxury apartments to penthouses and townhouses. Connected to the mainland via Sheikh Zayed Road, the island will have connectivity with Jumeirah Beach Residence via a foot-bridge.

  1. Marasi Business Bay

Announced back in 2016, Marasi Business Bay is slated to be completed by 2022. The ambitious project will span 12 km along the Dubai Water Canal, and will consist of three ‘zones’, the Yacht Club, the Park and the Pier.

Unique to the UAE, the development will have floating homes, which will be built in Finland and transported to the UAE. These will be accompanied by a floating restaurant and an 1,250-yacht capacity club.

  1. Jewel of the Creek

Good old Deira will see its fair share of upcoming developments, like the Jewel of the Creek.
The project is situated between Dubai Creek’s floating bridge and Al Maktoum Bridge. The massive project is being developed by Dubai International Real Estate, and is sure to give tourism in Old Dubai a shot in the arm. The luxurious development will have around 1,500 residential offices and over 1,000 offices.

It will also play host to Roda, a flagship five-star hotel, a 60-berth marina and the Dubai Dome, a 3,000 capacity multipurpose hall.

  1. Marsa Al Arab

A development by Dubai Holding, Marsa Al Arab spreads across an area of 4 million sq ft. Consisting of two islands on either side of the Burj Al Arab Hotel, the entire project will have a 2.2km beach facade.

While one island is designed for entertainment and is more family-oriented with attractions like Wild Wadi and a Marine Park, the other will be an exclusive luxury resort with over 140 luxury villas and a private yacht marina.

  1. Dubai Creek Harbour

Unarguably Dubai’s first landmark, Dubai Creek is full of historical significance. To honor its place in Dubai’s history, it is being graced with an ambitious development. The combined efforts of Dubai Holding and Emaar are bringing us the Dubai Creek Harbour, a smart, green city steeped in both heritage and the future.

Located next to Ras Al Khor’s national wildlife sanctuary, Dubai Creek Harbour is a 6-million-sq-m, mixed-use development with waterfront eco-resorts, a marina and yacht club, commercial and retail space, blending well with cultural, leisure and educational amenities.

And, most importantly, Dubai Creek Harbour will boast a new skyline icon, The Tower, planned to be the world’s tallest architectural design. Its form is inspired by a budding lily flower, influenced by local Islamic culture. It will have rotating balconies and observation decks and a hotel.
