Dubai still manages to be one such place that people from all over want to visit. It is especially a dream destination for those living in South East Asia. Recently, a travel booking site Booking.com conducted a survey showing Dubai as the top voted travel destination for Indians. Like the rest of the world, Indian travel enthusiasts are also creating their Wishlist for their next dream vacations. In this post crisis survey, Mumbai as a local destination whereas Dubai as the international one topped the charts.

The survey shows that most of the Indian travelers would like to visit Dubai as soon as this Covid-19 crisis is over. Other international destinations that are popular among Indian travelers after Dubai are Ubud (Bali), Bangkok, Istanbul & London. This basis of this survey was the Wishlist data gathered on Booking.com’s platform between March & April 2020. During these unprecedented times keeping your spirits high is really important. And what can be more encouraging than planning for your vacations beforehand? The power to dream about experiencing the world again is good enough to lift our spirits and keep us afresh.

According to the Booking.com’s Country Manager for India, Sri Lanka & Maldives, Ritu Mehrotra, these surveys are an amazing way to see the different array of experiences travelers are fantasizing about. For example, what do they want to enjoy post the Covid-19 crisis? Are they thinking about leaving their homes and exploring the unknown? Dreaming about leaving your home can be a big inspiration these days. Especially when everyone is caged-inside their homes, planning a vacation getaway can be the perfect opportunity to brighten-up your moods. Therefore, Booking.com is encouraging everyone through these surveys to make a travel wish list and consider travelling again.

For local travels, Mumbai is the top voted travel destination among Indians. Other than Mumbai, Goa, New Delhi, Lonavala, & Bengaluru are the top travel destinations for Indian travelers.

According to another survey, about staying preferences 42% Indian travelers voted for staying in hotels rather than resorts, guesthouses & villas. However, due to the Covid-19 crisis the rates of rental property in Dubai have become quite cheap. Therefore, if you’re planning to visit Dubai soon it’s not a bad idea to book a place for staying in advance. There are many such property search portals using which you can easily find your desired rental within no time.

As for the international tourists, the Indian destinations worth-visiting are Delhi, Mumbai, Calangute (Goa), Jaipur and Bengaluru. Most of the international travelers voted for these destinations on the Booking.com’s surveys during March and April 2020.
